Most of us can't afford a company like Safeguard,
so we opt for the selection at our local hardware store.

I thought I'd try photographing lightening.
My yard has a lot of trees

so there is only one spot where I can shoot.

I didn't use a tripod and probably should have.
Before I attempt this again,
I need to read some 'how to' blogs.

Have a great weekend!

Jesse's clothes
Children are a never ending source of entertainment, creativity and new ideas.
And then there are carpenters
who sometimes leave ladders laying on the porch
for several days.

That is nothing compared to things some people leave sitting around.
Just about every work day for the last 25 years,
I've walked past this cart or one like it.

I still go to the grocery store every week.
The displays just haven't caught my eye.
Then, I saw this stack of peanut butter.

I avoid driving in the city as much as possible,
but a lock set required a trip.

 When I got to Lowe's,
all the mowers were lined up waiting for new owners.
Once in a while, the doctor requires a little attention.

They need help paying off all those student loans
so do your part and get a check up.

Maybe I should move my friend out where she can see the roses.
I bet she would like them.

The thundering cannons were impressive.

Ellipsis Monday Photo Shoot #119: Birds

Posted on 5:49 AM by jr cline | 3 comments

This photo blog is for
Ellipsis Monday Photo Shoot #119: Birds.

I sat out on the front porch and snapped a few pictures of this hummer coming in for a snack.

This house wren is bringing some food to its mate
sitting on eggs in the nest.
After feeding its mate, the bird takes a look around
before flying off to find more food.

Head to toe portrait challenge

This picture is for seedsower's head to toe portrait challenge

Dong this alone was difficult for me.
I set up the tripod or put the camera on something
then dashed around to pose before the timer ran out.
I'm sure it was grand entertainment for the people who watched.
After 20 (+ or -) tries in various places I finally got this.

You are awesome

According to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary, muchness means "the quality or state of being in great quantity, extent, or degree."

I visited Janney Furnace for a civil war re-enactment.

Here are a few of the players.
