The last blank

Picture 7 of 7 in the blank project.

For this last picture, I went back to a part of the definition I'd already used,
Lacking expression; expressionless: ~ answers.com

This stocking headed, fixed stare, frozen mouth
Halloween decoration is what got me started on expressionless again.

The wooden Indian was the real topper with his vacant stare and stoic pose.
Of course, in a lot of ways, this part of the definition applies in both cases:
Devoid of thought or impression: a blank mind.

The 6th of 7 in the blank project.

Devoid of activity, interest, or distinctive character; empty: tried to fill the blank hours of the day.

I stopped for a late lunch today at the Cajun Catfish Company.
It was one of two or three remaining businesses in a strip mall.
I shot this through the window.
This empty, for rent area, seemed like blank space to me.

To fade away: The music gradually blanked out. ~ answers.com

Celebration Station was a small amusement type park located on a sliver of ground to the side of the Sycamore View exit of I-40 beside Southwest Community College...in Memphis, TN. The park included go-karts, bumper boats, putt-putt golf and many indoor games.~ The Mall of Memphis

With all the traveling today I was concerned I wouldn't be able to come up with an idea for the blank photo project.
Fortunately, when I checked in the motel I found the shot.

When I travel, I stay in inexpensive motels.
I don't mind old as long as they are clean.
One thing I have noticed over the years is how generic they are.
One can almost predict what the spread will look like.
The layout of the rooms is almost always the same.
These rooms are like key blanks waiting to be made into something.

OK, I know it is a stretch.  rofl

This shot was taken and edited using the Photo FX app.

Lens Life 101

My life through a cellular lens

I seem to have more shots from around the house than anywhere else this week.

Christy and Jeremy did a lot of work making the front garden bed beautiful.

I know I've posted a similar picture before, but I just liked the air plane runway light cover when I saw it in the window early one morning so I took another shot of it.

One day I was trying to entertain Jesse (a never ending challenge) so I took him out to the jeep and plopped him in the driver's seat for a while.
I wish I'd gotten a shot of his face when he blew the horn. roflmao
Talk about wide eyed and ready to escape.

One of the things I've always liked about the house where I stay
is the leaded glass in the front door.
The look is always changing based on the inside or outside light.

This is a little further from the house.
I took it one morning on the way to work.
I love taking fog pictures.

As always, I was at my parent's old place.
As you can see, we've about gotten it cleared out.

In case you wondered (like you would even think of it),
I did go to the grocery store for supplies.

Have a wonderful weekend!
