It was a day!
Worked 10 hours migrating data
Christy and I went to the the thrift store and Walmart and then to pick up Jesse.
Between Walmart and picking up Jesse there was a torrential downpour.

This firetruck was strategically parked on a busy main road in preparation for emergency action.

After picking up Jesse we had diner at The Shack.  The food is good and it is an interesting place.  The kitchen is in the caboose and the rest is built from cross ties.

The topper for the day was having a flat tire on a dark country road at 11 pm.  I walked the 2 miles back to the house.

Christy and I drove an hour or so into the woods  half that time on dirt roads and came to this unexpected gate blocking the way.  Hunting clubs do this all the time when they lease these public lands.  But Extreme Ministries?

Reminded me of a song.

We did have some fun with it though.

We stopped in another spot and took some pictures around a mountain spring.

All around it was a great adventure.  :-)

Carly tells a interesting tale about her neighbor and posts a interesting picture to go with it.

Well, in spite of all the 'go live' pressure, I did manage to take one picture today while watching a friend's son.

Jesse and I watch a couple of men play pool white Christy had her tongue pierced.

Carly posted a lovely picture of an invitingly cool path in a pretty garden.

This is the week when the college's new software 'goes live'.  I've been working some long hours and haven't taken any new pictures. I thought I'd share these from an April trip to the Birmingham Zoo.

These are my companions on this adventure.

Lovely Christy, a photographer friend

I used an iPhone and the Fisheye Pro app to take this picture of a sign on the wall at work.

 I like the encouraging message.

Check out the fun story about Dylan the cat.
